East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc. was ranked 7th among large companies honored, and 1st among manufacturers, in the 2010 Best Places to Work in PA. The company now marks an entire decade of being honored in the ranking.

The Best Places to Work in PA is awarded to 100 companies: 50 medium size companies (25-250 employees) and 50 large size companies (251 or more).

In addition to information provided directly by the company, a randomly selected group of employees from each company completed a confidential survey. The survey is used to evaluate the employees’ workplace experience in regards to their individual, team, and organizational experiences. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, which accounted for 75% of the total evaluation score.

Best Places to Work in PA, conceived in 2000, was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Pennsylvania benefiting the state’s economy, its workforce and businesses. It represents a joint effort of Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the PA Department of Community & Economic Development, the PA Chamber of Business & Industry, the Central Penn Business Journal, and the Best Companies Group.
