Based on years of scientific research, East Penn has created today’s most protected lead battery technology, Armor Alloy. Armor Alloy uses a pure lead grid enhanced with a proprietary and perfected blend of engineered alloys to maximize the strength and durability of the battery, all while protecting conductivity and performance. In addition to the engineered alloys, these material attributes are further amplified through our Compu-Press, Encapsulation and Hydro-Formation processes.

  • Improved Conductivity

Armor Alloy creates a strong and uniform grid structure that enhances the interface between the grid and the active material, leading to better power delivery.

  • Increased Toughness and Durability

Provides a unique and protected lead grain structure that serves as layers of armor against electrolyte penetration and a product that is over 390% stronger in tensile strength compared to unprotected pure lead. Additionally, the alloy blend protects the grids vital inner layers from electrolyte corrosion.

  • Maximizing Budget Efficiency without Compromising Power

The Deka HRC line is specifically engineered to maximize budget efficiency without compromising the quality essential for instantaneous backup power. Covering a range of 600–950 W.P.C. @ 15 minutes to 1.67 V.P.C., each battery is tested to ensure 100% initial string capacity in accordance with IEEE 1188 industry standards.

  • Top of the Line Certification

The Deka HRC product line, and the entire Deka Reserve Power product line, are certified to UL1973. East Penn is the first and only US-based manufacturer to achieve this certification. This provides space and cost savings to customers, allowing five times more power than non-certified products.

The battery line is also virtually 100% recyclable, which means you get financial credit when they reach their end of life.
