It feels good to be in high demand

If you are searching for a career and haven’t looked into Advanced Manufacturing Technology, NOW IS THE TIME! As a company, we experience firsthand the growing need for these invaluable skills as we add more robotics and automation within our plants. Careers in Advanced Manufacturing are highly rewarding in many ways and a very stable type of employment. In fact, the more you learn about our Scholarship program and the many opportunities available, you’ll understand why we say, “IT’S ALMOST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.”

It PAYS to be curious about Advanced Manufacturing Technology

Advanced Manufacturing simply uses innovative technology to create products. Technical roles within these production activities can include working with information, automation, computation, software, sensing, and networking. These are valuable skills that lead to good paying jobs.

Understanding jobs in Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Mechatronics

These types of jobs fall under a category called Mechatronics. Mechatronics is an exciting career path that has elements of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering as well as software programming and robotics.

At East Penn, Mechatronics fall under three job categories:

  • Maintenance Mechanic – Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install manufacturing equipment.
  • Electro-Mechanical Technicians – Functionality, testing, and maintenance of automated and robotic equipment.
  • Process Control Engineering Technicians – The design, operation, and maintenance of process and control systems.

Why these types of jobs are almost TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

East Penn employees in this profession typically have a starting salary near $60K and an average salary of $73K. With the right training and education from a good scholarship opportunity, you have a great chance to be on the higher end of that average and GET PAID EVEN MORE!

Why this scholarship is almost TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

The Reading Area Community College (RACC) offers you an amazing Associate Degree in Mechatronics Engineering Technology and East Penn pays for it. That MEANS NO COLLEGE DEBT! AND A FULL-TIME, GREAT PAYING JOB RIGHT AFTER GRADUATION!

All you have to do is…

Learn cool things like mechanics, robotics and motion control, hydraulics, motors, pneumatics, and many more amazing skills. Also, East Penn asks that you work for us for a few years to help cover the cost of our investment in your education. There are other basic requirements to the program that can be found here. The number of students who can be accepted is LIMITED due to operational staffing needs.

Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS) or Certificate Program. You Choose.

You can choose to go for an Associate Degree in Applied Science or we have a Certificate Program. We recommend the Associate Degree since you will receive more advanced training to become an Electro-Mechanical Technician and the opportunity to earn higher wages. The Certificate Program is designed to teach more basic mechatronics skills for an entry level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic position.

Associate Degree:
3 years
Fall and spring semesters
Classroom setting academics
Training is hands on
More academic pre-requisites

Certificate Program:
